Shramik Abhivrudhi Sangh (SAS),
Popularly known under one of its units Jana Jagaran, is a social action wing of the Goa Jesuits. Fr. Joseph Chenakala S.J., is its chief executive. SAS activities are concentrated in Belgaum and other districts of north Karnataka and Kolhapur district of Maharashtra.

JJ's 40 Years Journey
Jana Jagaran has completed 40 years – 40 years of empowering the rural masses. That calls for a celebration; that calls us to rejoice over the marvelous deeds worked by God through the humble, dedicated works of thousands of persons associated with Jana Jagaran over the years. All through these years JJ experienced warm friendship, tender care and generous support of many people. In many ways they accompanied JJ all these years and enabled it to bear abundant fruit. It has been a remarkable journey of forty years’ by any standards
